How to Share Text Between Devices
Need to get a link, a paragraph or a code from your phone to your laptop (or the other way)? Here is a quick way to move text between devices without emailing yourself.
The online clipboard trick
Emailing yourself or fiddling with messaging apps is slow. Instead, paste the text into an online pastebin on one device, get a link, and open that link on the other device. It works like a shared online clipboard between your phone and computer.
How to do it
- On the first device, paste your text or code and create the paste.
- Copy the short link (or scan the QR code if the tool offers one).
- Open the link on the second device and copy the text there.
Why this is handy
No account, no app to install, and it works across any phone, tablet or computer with a browser, even between different operating systems. Use a temporary paste so the link cleans itself up afterward.
