Questions
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. The scan is processed entirely in your browser on your own device. Your document is never sent to us or any server, so even sensitive papers stay private.
How does it turn a photo into a scan?
It detects the edges of the page, corrects the perspective so it looks flat and straight, and evens out the lighting to remove shadows. You get a clean, professional-looking scan.
Can I fix the crop if the edges are wrong?
Yes. After you add a photo the four corners are detected automatically, and you can drag each corner to line it up exactly with your page before scanning.
Can I scan more than one page?
Yes. Add pages one by one and they are combined into a single multi-page PDF you can download at the end.
What can I download?
A multi-page PDF, or each page as a JPG image. Everything is generated on your device.
Can it recognize the text on my scan (OCR)?
Yes. After scanning, tap Recognize text. The printed text is read in English on your own device, you can copy it or download it as a .txt file, and your PDF download gains an invisible text layer so it becomes searchable. The reader downloads once (about 6 MB) and your document is still never uploaded.
Which look should I use?
Magic Colour keeps colours with a clean white background, Grayscale is lighter, Black & White is best for text documents and gives the smallest file, and Original keeps the photo as-is.
